Hi...I have an older Buck 110 folder...A real tank of a folder, but the blade has become loose to the point it cannot be trusted...The knife has not been abused, but over the years it has seen an awful lot of real world use...
My question is: Can a new blade be installed as Spyderco does???...I had a Spydie Police blade replaced after a tip was broken, for a fee...
Hoping I can do the same for the Buck...I think it would be a shame to just write off such an excellent old folder...:)

you can have the blade replaced, and even have you 110 upgraded to a high end steel like BG-42. Email Joe Houser and he will be able to help you out.

Hey mschwoeb...That sounds great...thanks! very much for the point in the right direction...:)

And now that I just remembered, the reason for the increasing play after a long time of use is the rivet that is used for the blade pivot. wears a little over time.

That sounds like it makes sense, as it was solid as a bank vault when new...I am really thrilled with the idea that it can be saved...
I have emailed Joe as you suggested, and looking forward to having blade/rivot replaced...
Thanks again for your advice!...:)...jared...out.
