Buck 110 Pocket Clip

I pulled this quote from STRs Custom pocket lowrider clip thread that's a sticky:

On another note. Here is a Buck 112 conversion I did for a forum member.

I gold anodized the clip to make it match up better to the brass. It looks better in person. My scanner never does the work justice.

Those will work fine if you drill and tap the bolster. I wouldn't do it to the scales, too easy to pull out of, and you better be careful drilling the bolsters BC you don't want to hit a pin or go too deep and hit the spring.

Well, it might be ok to tap into the spring in the back, but i'd still be very careful with placement of the holes. If it were me, i'd just get a nice sheath for the 110. Actually, thats exactly what I do now.

I haven't tried a pocket clip yet, but if I were to...I'd do it with the knife disassembled...The bolster is ~1/4" thick, and with those dinky little screws, I'd want 100% of my screw to engage...Hard to get that with the taps they sell (you really need a 3-tap set)...The spacer isn't really a problem if you happen to drill into it...It's hitting the spring pocket that would be tricky...here's a pic to illustrate...

I carry either a 110 or a 560 loose in my jeans pocket with no problems...as long as I remember not to dump change in with it... :D

Can I ask where you got the stud?

If you are asking about the stud on my 532, it was one STR had in inventory. He couldn't remember at the time where it was from, he said he usually just orders a bunch from one place or another when he runs low.
