I was given(free stuff is the best stuff even if it's crap:D ) a 110+ by my father-in-law who had it tucked away in an old box in his garage. I have looked in all the wrong places for info and now bow humbly before you Buckers in total noob fashion. Here's my questions:

1. What's the "+" mean?
2. Why is it off centered in comparison to the stamping on all 3 lines?
3. What wood is used for the scales? (guessing Maccassar Ebony)
4. What, if anything, about this knife dates it.

Love the knife no matter what it all means. Thanks for light shedding and, gosh darnit, support this great resource.

Your humble fellow Knifehead,
Kerry

Correct! and that was supposedly the last year that they used it. They went to impregnated Obeechee (sp?) wood from then on.

Mike,

Is there a timeline somewhere on the different wood?

When I get home I'll have to look it up. All I know is that 1992 was the first year for the non-ebony scales.

Great info and I'm pretty happy that this is ebony...should hold up well. I especially like the contrasting black/brown on this one.
