Buck 110 Red Bone

I have two 110's with factory red bone handles, one is my weekend carry and hunting knife and the other is new in the box. I got them on closeout from SMKW back in the 90's. Never seen any like them. How common are 110's with handle materials other than wood?

I'll post a pic if I can figure out how.
 
Messersmith, welcome to the forum...yes do post pictures:thumbup:. If you do a search, forum member, Chickentrax, posted a turorial on that very subject.

The 110 is very popular and there have been quite a few materials used as handle material, stag, antler, horn, bone, ivory, mastadon, micarta, laminates and impregnated woods(IMO not really "real" wood).

There are very knowledgeable people here and can tell you more about your red bone 110s, and about many other Bucks.

You only have two:confused: :D ;) I'm thinking that will change:). Preston
 
Thanks pjsjr, I'll look for the tutorial. I also have a 110 with a wood handle. My dad gave it to me when I first started hunting. I 'retired' it in favor of the red bone that I now carry.

So I have 3 buck 110's along with a motley collection of Rem bullet knives, a KA-BAR, an old Cattaragus 225Q, Gerber Gator, several CRKTs and.....

I would love to get all three of the damascus - one each with red bone, brown bone and of course stag. :thumbup:

I wish they would introduce red and brown bone in the custom shoppe again,i'd go with red bone,bg-42/s30v/no rivets/nickle silver bolsters........what a daily user that would be!
 
...That would be a nice one to carry around RAZORBLADES...I just wish the Custom Shoppe would get to the point where we know what they have available and what the don't have or will not have...Not knowing what you can order is kine like wanting to sorely buy a specific car but they won't tell you if you can get a V-8 optioned in for that standard 4 cylinder in it...
