So, a while ago, I got a custom Buck 110 with Brass bolsters/Walnut scales/Finger grooves/S30V blade. I liked it, but just didn't really care for the scales as they are walnut dymondwood and don't look a whole lot like walnut... to me at least. Other than that, it's great!

So, since then, I have re-scaled it from this old piece of maple found in the woods on our property.
After using some improvised tools, I cut out the scales:
One strange thing about the rocker pin, it is partially hollow on one side:
Gluing on the scales with 5 min. epoxy:
After sanding with the belt sander:
After linseed oil and polyurethane:
Also included in the scales are a piece of brass on each side taken from two other buck 110's that have sentimental value:
