A chap on a UK forum I visit is looking for a slippy that looks like a Buck 110.
Well try as I might I can't think of one. If there was such a thing (with a 3 inch non-locking blade too) I think it would sell like hot cakes here in the UK.

Anyone have any ideas. I think I'll post this on a Buck forum too.

The closest thing I can think of is a clasp knife. The closest thing I have in my collection is a Queen Dan Burke Rancher.

zombieHD55 is correct, Queen made a #3 Mountain Man in Amber Stag Bone that is a slipjoint. The locking version was a #3L.

Well, the Buck 111 is a slipjoint 110, but good luck finding one.

No it isn't, both the classic 111 from the 80's and the current 111 which is a 110 with curved bolsters are lockbacks.

Case has an Arkansas Hunter that looks reasonably close. I'm not sure of the blade length though. Great Eastern has made some Scout models with a single blade and a bolster on each end. I'm not sure of the blade length on this one either, but the closed length is 3 3/4" so there is a chance it will be short enough.

A Buck 110 lookalike slippy.

The more I think of it the more I think it would be a great little knife.

Plus it would have a good market in Europe. Spyderco did it with the UKPK.

Not quite the same profile but most American manufacturers, (Case, Camillus, Schrade, etc) made large hunter models that were slipjoints. These might fill the need for a 110 style slipjoint.

I think maybe jackknife is putting out a challenge to the custom makers on this site (and if he's not, I am...I'd love one).

Actually I'd like Buck to make one. They make the small Buck 55 which is like a cut down 110 so why not make a slippy version of the 55. How hard would that be? 95% of the new knife is already there in their 55 model.
