Recently I bought a 110 in very nice condition appearing original... but, it has the old style square frame with ebony covers and a 1986 marked blade. Could this be factory original? In other words, a 1986 transition model made with available parts and not a later re-blade?

This is the knife in question:

Knife was once loved and now, sadly, abandoned....

So, did Buck even have their re-blade program in place in 1986?

I think they could have. It looks to be a 2 dot handle with a 86 blade. Buck had begun to radius handles by 82 and that one is not. DM

I just remembered that I have a uncle named Gary too. The name was done with a stencil engraving machine and not long ago. A handsome 110. DM
