Howdy folks. I picked up a mint stag handled 110 at a gun show last weekend with a damascus blade and nickel bolsters and liners. The blade is marked Buck/110V/USA. Ok, I know the V means it was made in 1989, anyone have any more info? Joe, any idea how many were made and in what time period? Anyone have any idea of value? I'll post a pic when I can later. Thanks for any help, and I should have said this first-Hi Joe, long time:D

Dave, I had 2, a 110V and a 110X, I sold the 110V for $190, I've seen them go as high as $240 on e bay. I still have the 110X, I guess you could say it was the cornerstone of my 110 collection.

1989 was the first year this knife was offered. I have a 1989 model that is in new in the box. It even has the original Buck Employee sales receipt dated March, 1989. I was given some catalogs sometime ago by Joe H. Many of these have been written inside of by a sales rep. I believe. The 1989 catalog has written beside the picture of this knife "not available as of February", leading me to believe I have one of the first models produced. I think that the receipt was tampered with by someone. It shows the selling price as $168, I think it had a 1 added to show a higher price. The MSRP new was about $190 I believe Joe told me at one time. I gave $200 for mine and think that is about the going rate on Ebay. Peace,
Found this thread from March of 2000
I did some research and we made almost 15000 of those knives from 1989 to 1992. The "V" is a date code for 1989. The knife had a sugessted retail of about $160 and i have seen them advertised in the $250 range.

Dave,
I checked and we made the knife from 1989 to 1992. During that time we made about 15000 of them. Wait a minute, a previous post has all this info already. Beat me to the punch again!
Yes, $65 was a great bargain!
