has any one out there ever had one in there hands and played with it?? if so then how good was it?? I see that the other auction sites that people are asking around $170.00 plus shipping for it. do you people that have owned it or had it in there hands testing it out think that is worth that price??

just make sure its a real buck and not the chinese copies and you're OK.
But i'd rather check it out and handle it and see if it has any blade play (some do) before buying one, so online purchase is not for me.
ALSO some are not true D/A, so if that's what ya want make sure it is. if it has a plunge hole in the blade its probably not D/A.
I have a non D/A, auto only 560 conversion (titanium handle version of the 110) and paid 150 used. has slight blade tip marks but otherwise just lightly used.
its so cool looking and kinda rare, i totally think it was worth the price.

here's a pic, its the first one:

these are aftermarket conversions so some are better than others.shop around and might could get it cheaper.

Too much bladeplay in these knives. I've tried a couple different conversions. One of the best is the Cumberland Mountain ( I believe that is the name) conversion, and even it had bladeplay in it. I don't think they are worth it except as a novelty.

I've owned two different conversions from two different companies. One was a Buck 110 the other a Uncle Henry. Both had a little (very little) blade play but it was there. That was 3 yrs ago, I bought both for $210 & resold them the same day - $150 ea. I think you can find better automatics for that price range. f.y.i. - neither knife had any safety button/slide to keep the knife from opening. I'd say the $170 is a bit high.

I'd say $170 is a bit high if its just a basic conversion and not a full mod like Nostimos's.
I was offered a couple that club members had bought at Blade a couple of years ago. They were asking $70; I passed and have regretted it since.

Depends so much on who did the conversion.
