I know this is supposed to be coming out soon, but does anyone know when? I have had it pre-ordered for what seems like a year now.

It is still available, per my search this morning, as part of a four knife box set for the 50th anniversary of the 110.

My understanding is that these four knives were produced as a labor of love and not profit. I wonder if production of the Lochsa and individual retail distribution will indeed take place... Definitely a cool folder and one that I would like to own.

It is the last of the four quarterly 50th anniversary knives, so I would expect the first of October.

"The Lochsa: named after the company's current factory on Lochsa Street in Post Falls, Idaho. It represents a concept for a modern design of the Folding Hunter. This version contains matte finished nickel silver bolsters, a S30V steel blade and textured G10 inlays. It also utilizes a belt clip and thumb stud for easy carry and opening."

The description above was a copy and paste. I don't talk that good. :)

Well, let's hope that after they've skimmed the collectible market that they release a general version of it. (Might not be til 2015, to preserve the cachet of a 2014 date for the collectible.) A 112 treated the same way would be nice — and so long as I'm wishing, maybe a 500 in the same style as well.

I would love to see a production model of this one also! Maybe drop the G10 handles if that would allow them to lower the cost some.

I had Ark Knives put a 426 blade (think that was the model) into a custom 110 for me a few years ago to get something close to this but mine is still missing the pocket clip.

I'm liking the general idea of more 110 and 112 variants. IMO, those are the icons.

For instance, I would to see the Bantam and Bucklite Max go. Bring back the Ecolite but make it thinner with removable pocket clip.

I agree with everyone. This 110 looks to be the easiest to edc ever. When I saw it announce, I had to pre-order it. I just wonder how usable that thumb stud will be. It looks like it will be too close to the bolster.

The thumb stud is too close to the bolster…at least for me.

Yep, this is the configuration the 110 and 112 need to adapt to keep up with the changes in the market. The original designs will still have their places, but many of us have thought about how convenient a 110 clipped into the back pocket would be. I have thought about gluing a Nite Ize pocket clip to my 112. Haven't done it, though. I might do it to the Ecolite I have on the way. Might.
