buck 110 waved/filework opening

It's not waved,it's a quick draw sheath. You can find them you know where.

Note: non of those knives you see with file work are covered by Buck!
many will tell you that they are!

the only one with file work that i know of covered by buck
is the shaved rear bolster 110 by
Wild Bill Cody...

Leroy Remer can also do file work and
he used to make the custom 110's for buck

Dave,At the 20yr.Reunion I saw a collector present a file worked 110 to Leroy.Who looked for certain initals in a certain place and then replied that this is a early custom shop done by the man who headed up the custom shop.Charlie I think was his name.
So they do exit.It had a 2dot frame w/ a 3dot blade and black micarta slabs.DM

wish i had been there at that moment!!:(
i did not know that charlie did file work!
yes many dont know that some of the custom shop work is
id'ed in different secret places!;)

i do know most of them have passed on..:thumbdn:
and that some did less finished work then others
almost to the point of being helpers or jest learning..

i still have a rare full crown with clip point 124 knife by Brian M. or "Mac"
these guys there to my understanding did a lot of lunch time work..
as far as today goes WBC is the only one that does file work at buck..

the old custom shop i have some what limited data on..:o
and > "with out data it is jest opinion" ;):D

i dont know if everyone watched the entire video. at about :32 seconds he uses the side of his pants to open the knife very reminiscent of a wave mod but using the filework.

watching closely .. it is fast and the vid dont show it
but i belive he thumbed the blade slightly open and cought it on his pants..
i did this as a kid and some times cut my jeans..
i dont think it was only on the file work ..but
"with out data it is jest opinion" if not ...
the knife would have to be modified to do what he shows..
if it could be opened with a wave it becomes a gravity knife and can get you arrested in many states
in Texas even assisted opening knives have come under switch blade/gravity knife laws now..
i have seen flashing glinting resin inlays before and others like it
i they are ok for some but .... well not for me..

Dave, Leroy could have said Mac.As its been a few days and I did not have a recorder on at the time. But the whole of the matter I saw and later ask to handle the knife and saw the initals.Leroy said in the beganning of the Custom Shop that is what they did.Just go out to the line and pick up a standard knife and take it into the shop and dress it up.Interesting stuff was happening at Buck during those years. This was late 1979 or early 1980.DM

yes some very interesting stuff!
rit pirty too fer as my thinking goes..
shame buck is not doing some of that interesting stuff any more
you know the market is there for some thing diff..
many of these guys are making a lot of money that buck could use..
well you know if they wont do it some one will...
