You have the 1980 wrong. It has exactly what your knife has....one dot left of the "110" and two dots on the right.

tomahawk68 to answer your question is it 440C if it is a three dot then it is the last of the official 440C blades, and it is one of my favorites followed closely by the two dot version.

Here is a few of mine. HL

Brasso, Flitz, Simicrome, Mother's — any metal polish will do.

But the best might be just to carry it and let the tarnish develop a patina from use.

I have a 110 with one * on either side of the model number. According to the OP it is. '74-'80. It was my dads knife. As a kid, i took it to the grinder and pretty much destroyed it. Do u think i should spa treat it and send it in? Or try to resharpen it? Buck will probably reblade it and kill the value right?

There is no value if you destroyed it by ruining the temper. All you have is parts knife or paperweight. Send it to Buck and pay the $10 re-blade fee and you will have a good user that has sentimental value.
