I've got a tang-marked Buck Folding Hunter with the tang marked "BUCK 560U USA". Any information would help me find out more about theis 110(?).

Sounds like a 110 with a 560 blade. May have been a 110 sent for a repair, and a 560 blade was handy in the shop, so it got used. The "U" notes that the blade was made in 1998. There are plenty of the crystal 560's with 110 blades in them from the factory.

It happens, I have a 560 with a 110 stamped blade, and every now and then a 110 with a 560 blade shows up on Ebay.

yes lots of "odd" knives come from buck..some times...
i think made for us collectors to find like easter eggs...
there are thoes like me that like to collect the odd knives..
by odd ~the ones made by employees for fellow employees and friends...
they are u-neat items !

The knife is probably a production knife. They probably used the 560 blade when they ran out of 110 blades. I have one of these knives as well.

If you really want to have some fun, try collecting all the 505 style knives with the "wrong" blades in them. Since the 505, 506, 507, 527, 529, ect...all used the same blade, you can find any of the above with any of the above's blade stamping. There must be a million combinations out there! :)
