Chrome is the mineral responsible for the florescent green in many stones. The bright green is agate dyed by the chromium. The stone does not attract a magnet like pyrite and hematite (iron based stones) and shows a great deal of metallic ore suspended in the agate. So, I am fairly sure it is some sort of a chrome based stone. I have two very large gem and mineral books and I haven’t found anything show or described like this stone.

I bought the entire small collection of this stone from the personal collection of a jade dealer. He has been buying and selling stone for decades and it was the only piece of this stone he ever saw. It was a piece about the size of a cantelope.

That is a change from your usual very bright colorful stones. Very nice job as usual.

Red, that may be my favorite I've seen so far-hard to say cause it's all good. Its either this one or that black jade with the snowflakes-Knice nife:thumbup:
