I assume "Chuck" to be Charles Buck? Thanks in advance for any help given.

Looks like the signature I've seen on Chuck Buck signed knives.
If I'm not mistaken there are / have been multiple opportunities to have him sigh your knife.
I would think it's his signature, but I'm not sure if it's a thing someone would fake for any reason.

All the signatures I have seen from the Buck family and others have been on the blade, also it is their signature not just the first name and date. Not saying that this is not for real, but I don't think it is...JMHO. Preston

Wow if that date is correct that would seem to be a very early example of a Chuck Buck signed knife. Has anyone seen any others with that early of a date?

Seems legit to me. Looks like his writing. It is on what looks like a brand new period correct knife. To my of thinking, the knife is unused because of the signature. I hope Buck can help.

Heard back from Buck today. They responded with "This does look like Chuck’s signature. He would have used a vibrating pen at that time. Wow!". This knife will be heading to the Buck museum.

Would you share the story on where and you obtained this piece of history. Many of us would love to hear it.

I saw it on the auction site. Search the sold listings using "Vintage Buck 110 Folding Hunter Leather Sheath Used But Used Up" ended Feb. 16.

Can anyone share a little on the Buck museum? What knives are in it or any other details ? I'm sure there is lots of early hand made examples. .Did Buck ask you to donate it? I always wished I could have found the 2 throwing axes Chuck sharpened when he was young or maybe the of odd one's that were stolen out of a truck in the early days just to give them back..

This is correct. I was on a Buck buying spree in the month of February. I mostly bought Buck folders from the 1970's in bad shape. I am planning to send them to Buck for spa treatment and/or new blades.

Did Buck ask you to donate it?

Not donate, but trade for it. Buck is giving me a new custom 110.

Good for you and Buck! I've never seen a earlier signed knife ..In 1973 I was in Boot camp lol!
