Anybody familiar with a Buck 110 which has a moose cutout in the blade?

I just bought one at Cabelas in the Bargain Cave, and was wondering what wood was used in the handle. It's a bit strange in that the wood seems to have developed some white streaking around a few of the rivets. Doesn't seem like the rivets could cause that, but there are two concentric circles of the streaking around two of the rivets.

Just curious, thanks!

Cabela's had a 110 with a Moose cut out in the blade done in 2003, handles are Maplewood Burl.

Does yours have a model number of 0110-SP37-0 on the box?

Bear Claw Chris Lappe,

Thanks for the info, I'm sure that must be it. I bought it at a Cabela's Bargain bin yesterday, it had no box or sheath. It did look like it had been sitting around a long while, the bolsters were pretty tarnished. There was a Cabela's sticker slapped on the knife claiming the original price was $99.00, it was marked down to $77.00. There was a nice young man showing it too me, I asked him if he could do any better on the price since it looked like it had been sitting around for ages. He said he's have to ask the manager, he disappeared for a while and came back with it marked $39.00. I also had a $30.00 off any $100 purchase coupon, so I figured for about $30.00, I couldn't go wrong.

thanks again,
