Buck 110 with no tang stamp?

Hi all! First post so hope I did all this right. I was given my great grandfathers Buck 110 and after spending a bit of time cleaning it up, I figured I’d try to date it. Problem is there doesn’t seem to be any markings on the blade at all. Based on the stamps on the leather case, I believe it’s a 69(?) but I have no idea. Is it possible it was rubbed or filed off, or was there a year they didn’t have blade stamps?
Thank you so much!!

Blade looks to be carbon steel ... or maybe it's the lighting.
If it is carbon steel, when Buck was making the two small pin square bolster handle, they didn't offer a carbon steel 110.
That looks like the handle my 2 dot has (but yours is in much better condition.)
That blade doesn't match the one in my vintage 7OT with carbon steel, either.

One of the early 110 knock-offs, maybe?

W wtfigo Your knife reminds me of knives by the late knifemaker, G.W. Stone, who occasionally put a custom blade on a 110 frame, but the grind on your knife is different and I'm pretty sure Stone stamped his blades. Interesting that the handles are of the same vintage. Not my knives, but here are two examples of G.W. Stone/Buck 110 hybrids...

I also don't think that is a Buck blade. It has a full hollow grind and the nail nick is much smaller. It does appear that the pivot pin has been replaced and isn't sealed. The spine of the blade does match up to the rocker arm. These would have been blended at the factory when the knife was built. How is the lock up? Is the blade loose?

Looks like a real Buck frame, but with a non-Buck blade.

I don't think it is by Mr. Stone.
Judging by the photos

Found photos of other Stone knives showing the blade stamp. The second one is on a Micarta 112 frame!

Mr. Stone used steel or nickle silver pins, possibly a larger diameter than Buck's brass pin. OP's knife still has a brass pivot pin.

Speaking of G.W. Stone, here is a photo of him with what appears to be one of his 110 handle knives on the table. I owned one of G.W.'s sheath knives back in the 90s and still kick myself for trading it off.

Well I'm really glad to see the 'Stone' 112..I would absolutely love to add that to my rare odd collection! It's on my radar now. In all my searching for the odd ones I have only seen a few reblades and they were fancy Damascus. I do have 2 Customs by WBC with his Custom blades with cutouts..

Hey bucksway, thought you would like to see these additional photos: Link

TAH thank you for the link! It had a bail hole that makes that even more desirable for me as I have only seen 2 (and I have one of those a
engraved V-1V1) ever. That particular blade profile is one Buck should look at for a possible LE next year for the 50th anniversary. It looks like the most blade you could fit in a 112 frame..
