This incredible stone is Regency Rose Plume Agate from the Graveyard Point claim in Oregon.

Great Pics, like always...

Nice one! Very 3D looking.

Where do you get all the NS bolsters for your work?

Wow Red,

That is one cool looking chunk of stone. It looks like some colorful coral in the sea;)

That is really something, the stone is awesome and the contour of the scales are perfect! Thanks for the photo Red.:D

wolfdog,

I can order them directly from my wholesale provider through my Art In Stone company.

As my posts will attest, I am not a fan of folders nor am I particular a fan of the modern knives. however, that may be the most beautiful folder I have ever seen. You are truly an artist.

Telechronos:):):)

Very well done! I'm glad to have some of your work and look forward to more of it in the future.

The scales on this one almost look like they are alive.

Wow is that a cool looking scale. Looks almost manmade but man couldnt make it look like that. Thanks for sharing. Thanks God for inventing it.:)

How durable are stone scales for normal use? Do they chip/scratch easily or can you actually use them?

As with all your work, it is drop-dead gorgeous.

Thanks for posting that.

bodydamage - The stone is VERY durable. I have DOZENS that are carried and used daily including one in my pocket. I have three kitchen knife sets that are used daily including in our own kitchen. Most stone does not scratch at all - heck stone is used on floors in commercial building and on millions of counter tops. Soft stone like turquoise might dull a bit from pocket carry but even that would still look very nice.

You just need to be careful not to drop them onto tile, stone or concrete although I have dropped my EDC 3 times onto concrete and got lucky all three times with not even a chip.....

That's good to hear, cause that's a great looking piece and it would be a shame to not be able to use it.
