I have a Buck 110 and would like to ask someone to help me with putting a year to it. Stamped on the Tang are Buck 110 USA. There is a line on either side of the 110. Not dots, but straight lines. Thanks

Thanks. I knew about the 1992 mark 110-; It was the second mark on the left side that threw me. Still trying to find my way around the Forum. Appreciate your quick reply.

I think this has come up before and if I remember correctly, the second dash in the -110- is to note a slight change in the 110's made during 1992.

Experts????

EDIT: I found the thread about it.

That stamping is one of those that I think are especially special. It does not show up in the date code list. Goose and Larry are correct, it was done in 1992 to indicate a mid year change in the 110. It was a new design of some sort and only effected the 110.
In 1992, we were also making the 110 stag, the 560 xlti titanium, and the 426Bucklite III's. I would imagine that it is a possibility to see those models with the same date stamp although I have not seen or heard of one yet.
