I think Im the only one on Bladeforums that doesnt own a Buck110 knife. I checked Walmart website and its showing not selling that knife anymore. Is it becoming a rare knife?

Maybe wally world had em in the past but not at the ones I've been too or seen online recently (last few years). Other places have them.

The 110 is a classic, tough, "BIG" and heavy (I was surprised), but not something I would EDC. I've seen some beauties and I can understand why they are well liked but with so many more practical folders out there I decided not now.

I would suggest holding one, getting a feel for it, then decide.

Check another sporting goods store like Acadamy ect. in your area or go online. They are easy to find and are the best knife deal for the money out there imo.If you don't have one,you need one.Buck and our other American knife companies are needing some love right now.

I do not have one. I have a Buck 871, 501, 103 but no 110.

They are a but heavy for EDC pocket carry. I do not like a belt puch in the office. I like fixed blades in the field.

Wal-mart has lots of inventory which does not appear on the website, including the 110.

At least I think I'm right on that one. :)

If you like them it's really worth a trip to the Buck website where you can "build" one to your likings! I think it's a great buy for the money, whether it's from their "custom shop" or $30 for a standard model at Wally World.

I'm deployed now and it's a 110 that has been on my hip for the last several month. Gear kept snagging on my pocket clip knives/lights so they had to go.

The 110 is an American classic and a great all around knife!

I have my obligatory 110. Two actually. Mine are D/A converts and work great but as stated, they are long and heavy for EDC since they do not have a pocket clip. I never use them anyway. They are safe queens :rolleyes:

They are heavy and a bit large for pocket carry.

Check out the 112 if you want pocket carry. If you want a pocket clip a forum member here can make that happen for you.

Gander Mountain was selling them for $29.99 last week when I was there ( if your lucky enough to have a Gander Mountain store nearby).

A while back Gander mountain had them for 29.95 with a ten dollar cash rebate. I bought a couple as gifts. I have one that My mother bought me for Xmas back in the 70's. I hardly ever carry it because of the weight. There are so many light weight quality folders now days. Folders are really just knife substitutes. (just joking) don't flame me. Except in the kitchen I would do fine if folders were all that were made.

I like the weight of it, that doesn't bother me at all.

Now, the 50lbs of body armor!!! That's another story.

I carry one in my back pocket alongside my wallet all the time, so don't be too put-off by those who say it's too heavy. Try it and you may find it is not. ;)

last time i was in wally world they had the Buck 110's. and that was recently, within the last month. in fact they always have them when i check. every wally world is a little bit different regarding the products they carry. the one closest to me carries only a couple of different knife models/brands. the WW about 45 minutes away from my place has a much bigger selection, so it all depends which store you're in. but whenever i do see them, there's always just 1 or 2 left behind the display glass. so they must sell like hotcakes. i plan on getting one, but want a custom 110. i think you should check out their website to see what's available. good luck.

Get a large Benchmade Bali Sheath. I use mine to carry my Alaskan Guide S30V 110 quite often. That sideways mounted sheath makes carry easy, and it's very unobtrusive. My leather sheath that came with the knife has never seen use.

It is an American classic.. Very well made, backed by a great company and priced very reasonably. That said, I still prefer the 112...

It sure is a nice knife, fits nicely in my back pocket.

I think I remember seeing them at TSC for 18$ about a month ago. yep still there:TSC
