Hi, i recently picked up a Buck 110 at a yard sale (complete with sheath) and need some help identifying the sheath. I looked at the datasheet and found it was made between 68 and 72, and if i can get identification on the sheath then i might be able to determine whether it is closer to 68 or 72.

So now on to the description. it is a black leather sheath, with BUCK written on the flap and the button snap only has Buck once in the center. so by this info is there any way to tell if it is a B or a C?

also if you need pictures then i can post a few ;)

mk i couldnt take a picture because of a crappy camera so i found one on google

basicly looks like that just not as shiny :P

Is 110 stamped on the back and if so, where?

Why don't you post good pictures of the knife, too?

This picture does little. Open the flap and take a picture. Then roll it over and take a picture of the real sheath in question. Thanks, DM

mk well first of all the knife was most definently made between 68 and 72 acording to the datasheet all im really wondering is if the sheath is a B or a C to tell which date it is closer to.

my camera is a piece of crap so i cant get any good pictures of the sheath, and 110 is not writen anywhere on the sheath, or if it is it is worn off now. the only way of recognition that i can tell is the front flap, everything els just looks like leather and nothing more.

oh my bad it DOES say 110 on the sheath, ill see if i can get a good picture of where it is ;)

edit: sorry but photobucket isnt working right now, anyway the 110 is right above the loop where the belt goes through.

That appears to be a 3rd version 7th variation at 1st glance. If you look at the rear bolster, can see a distinct center spacer seperate from the 2 sides of the rear bolster or is one side integral.

seperate spacer

integral

there is a spacer.

mk after looking at the data sheet again i see that this is most likly fourth version variation 1, due to the brass spacer and brass rocker rivet, so i supose my question is now pointless, i probably should have taken a better look at that datasheet XD

sorry, guys, i keep losing that page. where does it show the years corresponding to the mark after 110? i'm looking at a 110 finger grooved in 420hc. the mark after 110 is an upright arrow. thanks.
