ive been working at a grocery store for 15 years now. Every 5 years you get a gift, that you get too choose from a catalog of about 20 different items. Headphones, jewelry, binoculars..etc.. and lone behold im checking it out the other day picking out my gift and i see a knife. A buck 112 with the company i work fors logo put on the handle. Just that was neat and wanted to share. I have a 110 that ive had forever, and i had been wanting to get a 112 for awhile. of course i took the knife:)

Outstanding! You work for a fine company....congrats on the 15.

Dude, the only pay him minimum wage...fine company? :D

Now if they had offered him a Sebenza.......

Just kidding! (only on the first statement :D )

Congrats on the 15, and on the knife.

Congrats also to your company for offering a knife as a gift. That's starting to get unusual.

A lot more companies in the past used to offer knives to their employees as rewards. I have a little Gerber lockback I picked up that way in the 90's.

Very nice! I got a Leatherman with my company logo on it last year, as a prize for getting my picture in the company calendar. ;)
Wish it had been a Buck 112, though!

My father was a District Manager of an insurance company. Every month they had pep rallies at the office or a fine eatery. They would hand out watches, rings, furs - high end stuff! Based on salesman of the month, most policies signed and stuff.

He retired from there about 1973 and this spring he dug out an old prize that nobody claimed. A Western W-49 Bowie with a dangler sheath and mounting plaque. What a freakin beast this thing is. I've got a hand rubbed/snaded finsih on it and more mods to do that will have to be sent out for finishing.

When I hit 15 yrs at the UAW plant I worked at it was just another day - work and go home, nothing even mentioned. :(

Hopefully you won't get fired when you carry it to work.
