Here are before and after pictures of my Buck 112 I sent to Buck for reblade and cleanup. http://edbeau.multiply.com/photos/album/14/Buck_112_rebuild_and_spa_treatment I started off with a over ground blade and serious brass damage. The knife blade was a -112- and is now a 2010. I had a almost three week wait but as you can see it was worth it. My Thank You to CJ Buck and all those folks at Buck.

The sheath I got off the bay and it is marked 111 on the back bottom. I had asked the size of a 111 before I bought two sheaths but it is too small for a 110 but the 112 fits like a glove. The front flap has 449 on it. Anyone know what the markings are for because I don't think Buck made a 449.

Those folks at Buck do some amazing work on that dinged up brass, don't they! It looks brand new now Ed...are you going to us it?

It will be going into the user box. I have already used it to open a few envelopes.

If the sheath is marked with 111 on it, it should be a little too big for the 112. The 111 is the same size as a 110. They did a great job on your knife.

Wow, it amazes me everytime I see one that comes back like new. The side scratches I had no doubt would come out but the flat spots on the rear bolster I thought would still be there in part. I cant figger how they dont change the thickness of the bolsters so they dont taper up from the scales when they have to remove good sized dings:confused:

I'd love to go and watch a few get spa'd:thumbup: The Buck DVD shows a reblade and buff but doesnt go into intricacies.

Dave, that is why I took a picture of the knife in the sheath. It is all the way to the bottom and fits snug on the sides. Another mystery to solve.

Fritz, If I get another 112 some day I will be able to see how much they took off the sides to get those dings out. They did a great job on the rear bolster.

:) There's no mystery. Since the 110, 111 and 112 all are about the same thickness and width, it would fit well except for sitting alot deeper in the sheath if pushed all the way to the bottom. If it's difficult to get hold of to take out, try putting something (piese of foam?) all the way down in the sheath to keep the knife from going all the way to the bottom.
