Buck 112 Skuttle?

Just got this today at the pawn shop for $25.

Tried to stop myself, but just had to buy it. It's a little beat up, but it might clean up ok.

Anybody ever heard of a Skuttle?

We need a sailor, but I thought when you skuttle a ship you intentionally sank it to keep the enemy from taking possession - maybe it was an award knife to the member of a US Power Squadron unit that sank their own boat! OH

That custom engraving is probably going to remain a mystery.
Could be a company logo or simply somebody's last name with a stock boat template selection engraved just for fun given that Skuttle is an ancient version of scuttle.

Yeah, you really can't go wrong with a three dot knife.......they are intrinsically rare.

I will say it looks like a Buck pad print. I love odd 112's like that and many that I have collected over the years I have only seen 1 of. Nice score!

Yeah, the name matches, but the logo is different.

Might be something they used in the past.

I repeated different google image search terms and a result was realty listing site which had the image featured.
