I have a Buck 112, when I cut something hard or press the edge on a cutting board the blades moves backwards with the spring.

I don't think it's a safety hazard, it's just uncomfortable feeling the back spring bush into my hand when I'm using the knife.

How does buck repair this problem? I don't want a replacement knife.

This one is nickel silver and I hand picked it a long time ago...the the blade is ground exactly symetrically and the tip centers perfectly in the handle.

Thanks for your help,

Hello,
We received your knife and it has been inspected. That very slight movement is part of the design and it does not compromise the lock. As per your instructions, I told me rework man to leave the blade alone. He really wanted to do his usual job but I told him to buff up the handle only and see if he could tighten up the slight side to side play as well.
I hope you like the work he did.
