Gents, in my mind I seem to remember a Buck 112 Aluminum Frame being offered a year or two ago. All I can find when I search on-line and on the Buck sub-forum is the Buck 110 in aluminum. Am I just confused or was it a very short run? Trying to find one if they were made. OH

I don't think they exist yet. I would have one if they did. An Aluminum 112 would be lightweight and strong and a great size. The trifecta.

There were some special runs of the 110 with aluminum frame available as a SFO.

Aluminum frames, flat grinds, drop points, slimline frames... I wish these would all be available in any combo in the custom shop.

if made a bit thinner version sure would pocket carry bettter.....but we got the 500 for that so.......

Im excited about the new 112's ..as many are. And I'm looking forward to sending lots of cash to Post Falls! I've always wondered why there was few choices in the Custom shop for the 112. To this day a drop point has not been offered. Since there is runs of DP blades for CnC and other LE's I wish Buck would offer us more options even if it's expensive. Aluminum frame DP S30V and ANY handle would be a big seller..

My 500 is my second most carried Buck after my aluminum framed 110 and I carry my knives in my rear pocket (with a vertical seam to hold them upright). The 500's thinness works for me.

But the 110 has a beauty to it that the 500 just doesn't hold. Just my eyes. But the 112 is an odd duck to me. If I'm going to carry something that thick, I just go with the 110.

I would like slim line 110s and 112s. I love the 500 too and would just rotate through them on whim. But they need to be available.

I think your gonna like the new line of slim 110/112s coming out soon!! No brass or alum frames, but G-10 and micarta works for me!

Thanks for the info, good to know I didn't miss it. Got one on my waiting list. OH

I'll bet that they won't have flat grinds and that the 110 won't be offered with a flat grind drop point.

My big take away from the all of the 110/112 variant threads (often driven by Copper & Clad or SKBlades) is that we all love the 110 and 112 but we all have different dreams of what the perfect 110 or 112 would look like.

I don't understand the issues of scale that may be constraining Buck. They clearly have the manufacturing ability to produce all of these variants. I don't see what would stop them from doing runs of the various components and then open up the range of variants more fully in their custom shop. IMO, you and I and Old Hunter and everybody else should be able to get exactly the 110 or 112 they're looking for.

Me, I'd like a flat ground drop point 110 in an aluminum frame and a thin line flat ground clip point 112 with a nickel or brass frame. I don't expect that those combinations would thrill enough people to justify limited runs by C&C or SKB, but I would think its something the custom shop should be able to produce.

I have wondered why C&C hasn’t made the aluminum version in the 112. The 110 version is very nice. They used to reply here occasionally. Aluminum 112 with no nail nick please.

I think it the room and inventory needed to run more knives. Taxed out possibly. That why it takes months for a model to come out. Sk announces a model but it takes a bit for it to be released.

Like Bucks 112 auto when a aluminum frame 112 is released I will have at least 2..

Man I wish I could have grabbed a drop point 110 when I had the chance. I have a 112 DP from C&C, but the 110's look great...

I've been wondering lately why C&C doesn't offer an aluminum 112 to match their 110 offerings. I'd pick one up to try, especially if it was a drop point.
