Just picked one up at a garage sale. Having problems with the Buck site. I cant find the date codes. Can anyone help? It looks like an arrow pointed to the right with a dot in the middle of the arrow. Thanks, Steve.

Thanks for the codes, but it looks like a 1987 but with a dot to the right. I cant match it up.

When I go to yard sales I ALLWAYS ask if they have any knives....You find gold if you ask...

This was actually a friend of mine who called and told me his brother in law had one at this yard sale. I didn't have to ask.;)

I've not seen a 112 with a > and a dot inside it, but I've seen 500 series blades with that tang stamp. I do have several 112s with the 4 dot, re-stamped to >

dang 112 girls knife..;)
my brother collects them
any one find out of the dot post it !
he needs to know...
now me ...
i only collects the folding hunter..
da big one ! :D

Goshen!
Without seeing your specific stamping, often times the date code got an extra dot palced with it to designate a mid-year change. I got a 529 sharkskin for a friend that had an extra dot and found, what I have just told you, when investigating it.

And dont kid yourself Dave......You collect A LOT!!! of different Bucks....You just DISPLAY 110s and 124s.I bet in your house there is atleast 15 different models of Bucks...Mabe more! How can a cheerleader just know 1 or 2 cheers..... Why I would bet you have a little slippie somewhere...

Scott, here is one. The dot seems to mark a mid year change as Golddigger Dave wrote.

Best regards,
Haebbie

Haebbie, any idea what that change was?

Goshen, sorry, no idea.

I asked the question in the BF one or two years ago too and as I remember I got some answers. But I can't dig them out, because I am not allowed to search in the forum.

And as a foreigner I can't buy the 10 dollar basic membership to get the allowance to search. And I don't refuse to see that I have to pay more for the gold membership as anybody else does. So, please, anybody else would find the answers for you, Goshen.

Best regards,
Haebbie
