So this is kind of offtopic, just somthign I always wondered about. The buck 112 is the same thing as the buck 110 just a little smaller right. Almost every place I have seen the 112 they are alot more expensive then the 110. I got my 110 for 30 dollars plus tax at walmart. Every 112 I'v seen around here is atleast 40-45 dollars. So why is a smaller knife more expensive? This might be odvious but I think its just weird.

Good question!

I have noticed that as well.

Unless it is a supply and demand kind of thing.

They (112's) have always been that way as long as I can remember.Even back in the 70's.I too have always liked that knife.Just about the right size for in the city.I espically like the design of the front bolster,it has a finger guard incorporated into it.Very safe design.DM

Zach,

You bet 112's are real nice. I like to pocket carry mine. I'm sure there is one in your future. g

well IMHO
the 112 is Jest the right size for girls!!!!
and every thing for a gal is more expensive then for a guy...
dry cleaning ect... jest the way it is...

Don't get me wrong, I do like the 112. I just think the proportions of the 110 are more pleasing, and streamlined. Kinda like the examples below.:D

If I had to carry one of those Corvettes in my front pocket, I'd pick the short one. Same reason I like the 112.

Now, if its in a belt holster, there is no reason not to carry the Big Mamma.

that i can agree with!
btw
i like my corvettes long and lean and my fav color is Speed!

Try a finger groove one...I like that best....I can't say for certain why a 112 cost more but my best guess is that the 110 is a 'loss leader' but not really loosing any money for Buck..
