Just picked up a nice Buck 113 Ranger, but the blade has different embossing on the right side

it has;

BUCK
113C-
U.S.A.

the - is more a dot but centered like that one is

Not sure what that denotes?

It seems like a great little knife, very handy and it took a great edge too.

Thanks in advance for the help,
G2

Edited to say, figured it out, thanks to the sticky at the top, it's the date code, saying made in 2011.... easy peazy

Thanks David but mine is more a C and not a bracket so I think it is the 2011 model, I know he's had it for a while ;)

Hi Gary, firstly, I'm a huge admirer of your leather work. I followed one of your threads for making a wetformed sheath and built leftys for my 110's and 112. Beautiful work, brother.

Secondly, yours is definitely a 2011 date stamp. If you google "buck date codes" there are several websites with excellent charts with date stamps. That's an awesome knife. I love mine. I carry it often as my work/warehouse knife

Thanks sir and nice looking sheath too ! I ended up selling mine, not even 3 minutes before your post! I'm as fickle as a little girl when it comes to fixed blade knives, one of these days I'll settle on one but who knows when that will be !

It is an awesome fixed blade knife, Buck hit a home run I think with this!

Gary, that is a really cool picture of your Buck 113 - the light on the blade edge is perfect! OH

Thanks sir, I thought it came out pretty nice too :)
