Really like the looks of the 113 made for Boone & Crockett. I just wondered if this is a limited release or will it eventually be a standard production model?

I've not heard of a model 113 . Do you have a picture ? Thanks . The Boone and Crocket series knives are a Limited Edition knife . But I don't know how limited and could be 2-3000 . DM

Here it is David. I don't know about any other's in that pattern, but who knows? Here's Joe's comment on it also.

In our Boone and Crockett series this year is the #113 which is kind of a fixed version of the #112. It was started as a collectible but is winding its way into a user.

Ok, thanks . I remember seeing that one now . Wasn't a 110 size offered in this series ? DM

I wonder if Buck is planning on making these a regular production knife? I see a seller selling factory blemishes that have a plain Charcoal Dymondwood handle.

Eric

Ive seen some blems with dymondwood recently-they look like butes. May have to check em out.

Those charcoal dymondwood FB's are at about 1/3 the cost of the Elk handled edition. Priced so you can use it & tell if you like the design. Usually the FB's are just lacking proper fit & finish, not steel defects or the heat treat.

I just won one. I had messaged the seller as to what was wrong. He had a stock photo for all that he was selling. He promptly replied back to ask what type of blem was least objectionable to me(dimple in boster or small gap between scale and bolster), which I thought was very cool of him. I intend to use it or give it to my daughter as a user so I picked the slight dimple in the boster. It doesnt look like either are very consequencial in appearance and not at all in function. I'll post pics once it arrives.

Thanks Scott, looks good. Mine is nylon like the Paklites come with. Might have to upgrade.
