I am new to the forum and could use a little advice. I have a 117 Trophy Set and would like to help it find a new home. I would like to get a fair price for them and was wondering which auction site you might recommend. I was thinking EBay but appreciate there might be a better site serving knife folks. Please shoot me your suggestions.

Also, is it unusual for the blades to be different years of manufacture? The 103> is 1987 and the 116< is 1986? Will this impact value?

Thanks in advance for your help?

If you get a gold membership on blade forums you can sell them here under Buck knives for sale.
Forum rules prevent you asking a value without a paid membership.
I don't know about the trophy sets but I'm sure some one on here will be able to tell you if different date codes
in the same set is a common occurance or not.

I believe you may have misconstrued my question. I was not asking for an estimate of value nor was I attempting to sell on this site. What I was wanting to know if there might be a better (knife related) auction site than EBay on which I could list my set.

If I unintentionally violated the rules then I sincerely apologize.

Hi Chfj,

You also can get in trouble by talking about places where you can buy or sell items that are not paid forum dealers. That said, the place by the bay you were thinking about is your best bet IMHO.

Welcome to the board chfj. Some/most of the firearms auction sites also have listings for, knives, accessories, optics, etc. but your best bet probably is the big auction site. As far as your set goes I don't see the different year dates as being an issue. If the two were several years apart I might be inclined to think one had been lost and replaced. With yours being 86/87 I think your fine.
