Buck 118 gone for now?

Yes, I see the Pro in the web special section now. However, I don't see the 118 elsewhere on the site. Started looking as I need a sheath for one. Few months back, the sheath showed out of stock and now it doesn't show a sheath option at all for it, nor the knife.

If anyone has a spare 118 sheath laying around please let me know. Used is fine as I want to use the one I have.

And, if I totally missed it, sorry for that also. Not trying to spin up rumors.
 
I haven't seen anything official per say, but think most current catalog didn't have it listed..so it appears its gone out of production other than special runs and whatnot. could come back. think they did this to the 120 and brought it back to life if my memory is right......

sorry can't help as I dont collect the 118....but others here do so maybe you'll get lucky.....
 
Yes, they have brought some things back from time to time. I think the 124 came back after a break also. We'll see. At least I got lucky to get a nice user and if I have to go custom for a sheath that isn't all bad.

TAH TAH Buck has discontinued and then re-introduced the 118, 120, and 121 a couple of times before. Guess it will likely happen again. With six copies of the Buck 118 in my collection (two or three still NOS) and with me heading toward my late 60’s and only shooting two or three deer per season, I think I will be good-to-go right up til my end! OH

I'm with you. I couldn't possibly wear out more than one hunting knife in the time I have left unless I just abused it.

I have my Father's deer knife that likely did 100 and still has life left in it.

Me too, I have quite a few really nice 118s that won't get used. I've given many as gifts. The 118 was my first 'real' fixed blade hunting knife, '69 or '70. Still have it, I've used it for everything. I could go on using it, but, retiring it in favor of this one...
