Hey everyone,

I just got a Buck 118 from a fellow forum member ( thanks ahgar ).
The only thing is, the blade rattles alot in the sheath. Now I new this before I traded for it. I was thinking if I could remove the plastic liner. Could I put the sheath with the knife in it, in some water and let it mold onto the knife?

thanks,
ace

ace, I have a mint 118 from the 70's I'm holding to figure whether to use or not. My daddy in law has two 118's. Both of them have holes in the end of the sheath where the tip has punched through. I think if is very common for the 118, the way the blade sweeps up. I would live with the rattle over taking a chance in cutting a hole in the sheath. Always be careful to put the 118 in the sheath just right, or it will slice right through. Good luck.
