Last year I purchased from WalMart a Buck 119 Special. It came with the gold 100 year sticker on the box, a lapel pin, 100-yr logo on the blade, etc. The sheath however has the standard triangular Buck emblem. At the time I didn't thing anything of it--I was very pleased with the purchase.
Just recently I purchased a 119BR--the the birchwood "cocabola" with brass. Although this knife was not advertised as a centennial it does have the anvil on the ricasso and the burgundy leather sheath has the 100-year logo.
So this brings up the question: should the first purchase of the centennial 119 have had a 100-yr logo on the sheath instead of the standard triangle?
These knives will probably never get used but 10 or 15 years from now if I sell would the centennial without the centennial sheath be worth less?
