What knife would be comparable to the buck 119 in price, shape, length (6 to 7 inches) and steel?

Just looking for comparable knives to the 119.

For the money, a Ka-Bar though a little bigger might be a choice.

The thing will be finding one that's a comparable size, that doesn't cost considerably more.

You might take a look a the Queen fixed blades at knifeworks.com. Well made knives with an upgrade in steel (D2) and the prices are in the same ballpark.

I think they're real cheap at Wal-Mart too. I just bought a 110 there for $26 and if I recall correctly the 119 was the same price.
This was a WalMart in Vermont, BTW.

You could go with the Ontario Mark 3 - it is real tough to beat the 119 though - anything behind the search?
