Everybody loves leather no matter what the configuration! Especially me. Funny now, but I had three major incidents happen in completing the handle. I was within seconds of giving up and grinding the handle off and starting over. Glad I didn't. LarryI’ve liked all your handle replacements, (that I’ve seen) but this one is by far your best work.
My favorite part is the way you ground the choil. That alone changes the look of the knife drastically. Very Randall like.
The only thing I’d do is add thumb notches to the spine. I like knives with single guards to have fine thumb notches. But that’s just me.
You could have a nice side business rehandling knives for people. I suspect that the labor would make it not profitable. How many hours did it take to make this handle?
I re handled a relatively rare military knife. With leather washers. Nowhere near as clean as yours. It was a labor of love. But there is no way I could charge enough to make me want to do one for someone else.

^yet.......give it time and I'll bet you'll surprise yourself.I just don't have the skill and patience to do anything remotely as nice as the fine work showcased In this thread.
Yes that choil he added really does the knife justice.
Makes me want to do a rehandle on my 119, but I'd go for more of a classic slim Bowie style handle.
Mostly because it would look good and be an easier proposition to pull off.
