The teaser's for tonite's (Monday 10-08 7 PM central) "Chuck" show had a 119 on a table - and I assume being tossed at someone - or something. He apparently becomes a spy... I haven't seen it yet. First, a survival show - now this - what exposure!

I saw that teaser on USA Network this weekend...a nice shiny polished blade phenolic handled 119, being thrown at the guy...ends up between his thighs as he's sitting down...

Some funny teasers for "Law & Order: Criminal Intent", too...no knives, but the actors are playing their roles and musing on the sudden change of networks... :p

I also watched some new (to me) shows this weekend (baseball is over)..."Life" seems like an excellent show; "Bionic Woman" was so-so; "Psych" was OK but not great (stereotyped characterization)...

It'll be nice to get back to "NCIS" and "The Unit" again... ;)

Edit: I take that back about no knives on "L&O:CI"...Goren uses a quick-opening knife (auto? or AO?) to open bodies wrapped-up that have been hidden for decades...Hey! - Eames has one too!! (There was a L&O:CI marathon on USA this weekend)...

Well, that was a dumb show! The 119 got tossed at a wooden chair - just like in the teaser - that was it. I don't believe I have tossed a knife since my college days, when my Dad's old WWII USN KaBar went flying towards my dorm door, which I had just found out I was going to have to buy anyway due to the drunks' fight in the hall breaking it in the night before. Sadly, a friend from down the hall was opening it as the knife hit - and passed through to the hilt - at his saucer-sized eye level. That was close - and the end of my misplaced aggressions/anger. It was '68... Auburn U... just months before my new government 'job offer', which I couldn't refuse.

Still, a silly show.

I always think of Goren & Eames, in "L&O:CI", as 'Penn & Teller' wannabe's. I like seeing Chris Noth - and his pardner de jour - alternating on that show, too. The original "L.&O." was a hard act to follow. The latest variant - without Dennis Farina - but with Fred Thompson - is decent, too. Guess Fred has other plans for employment now...

I wonder if Buck had to pay for the use/display of their product, the 119 on 'Chuck', since it's name wasn't readily apparent?

I wonder why......if they need an impressive knife.....they don't use a 120???

Oh yeah.......that's right.......Buck has pretty much quit making 120s.

Anyway........I guess the 120 is simply too big to be politically correct enough for prime time......or anything, apparently.
