I recently picked an old 119, and have a few questions. The blade is simply marked BUCK. The handle spacers are aluminum, maroon, aluminum, maroon, then the black handle. You can also see a large pin holding the buttcap on. It came in a full flap sheath. It`s been used and sharpened but is in good shape.I know it`s an old one, but would like to narow it down. Cost was $25

search seems to be down. I know i've seen the answer to your question. I think it is early 70's.

After doing a search, it appears this one might be from pre 1968. I forgot to mention that the blade stock thickness is thinner than on my 1990 119, and top of blade is rounded instead of squared off like me newer one. Old one is .170 thick, new is .180 thick. All grinds look more rounder.

Stomper,

If the blade only has Buck stamped on it, it was produced before 68. Buck went to a flat tang blade with a pin laterally through the pommel in 62, so that would be the time period for the knife (62-68). Hope this helps.
