I think you want the old style "flap-over" sheath which Buck used to provide. I am pretty sure that if you call customer service at Buck and ask them to make a flap-over style, they will. Or you can ask them to send out a current "snoopy" type leather
sheath. These are called "snoopy" because when you fold out the wrap-around leather and press it out flat, it looks like an outline of the cartoon character. Call Buck
at 619-449-1100. By the way, snoopy sheaths
allow some of the handle and pommel to show but provide less protection from dings and
scratches. The flap-over sheaths hide the entire knife.
