I just got the 75th anniversary from my girlfriend. I had long viewed the knife as way too long to really use in the field. When hunting, I am a 102 Woodsman guy through and through. I have to admit, upon actually holding the 119 it feels pretty darn good! In fact, I kinda can't wait to see how it does next season. I have medium sized hands and the handle fits them really well. I may find that it is indeed more of a "show" knife than a user, but I am excited to give it a whirl.

119 is a venerable staple in any knife-owners collection. Good all-around use large knife.

My 119 works well cutting up racks of pork ribs or disassembling turkeys in the kitchen. No need to wait for hunting season. And it cleans up easier than my 110.

There's a reason it has been popular for so many years. .it works! If a person could only have 2 knives the 119 and a smaller folder would work extremely well. If I could only have 1 tho it would be a 118. I seldom need a big fixed blade.

It's interesting how little blade I actually use in the woods. Truth be known, my 110's are even more than is generally needed.
