Got my Dad's B/D gift today, the Buck 120
At 7 and 3/8" the blade sure feels a lot longer than it's little brother the 119 with a 6" blade. The new models have very sharp edges out of the box. A lot more so than the older ones did.
Glad I found a "General" I know Dad will like it.

Nice!Dad will sure be happy. For an actual user,i prefer the 119 or even the smallest of the series the 102.

I know we don't use 90% of the knives we buy. It's just you like them so you buy them and maybe carry them. I often carry something high end and have a user along, too.
I have a another user 119 and it's a great working blade.

Back when I spent a lot of time in the woods, camping, hiking etc., I carried my 119 and one of my buddies had a 120 General. The 120 was a bit better at cutting up firewood due to the longer blade, but for the most part, the 119 was a more useful size.

I've used a 119 for hunting most of my adult life. I actually think its a little too big, so for me the 120 is really big. Great all around knives though. I may also go with a 102 at some point.
