Buck 120

Just bought one used ,,seems like a nice knife . I just wanted to know how old it is and if its worth anything . The guy said he had it for like 21 years . Do they still make the buck 120 ?

It looks like Buck has discontinued the General...good thing I bought one years ago.

It was just recently discontinued.
You might be better off buying a new one, there should still be plenty around.

I saw one a few weeks ago for $59 new. They are still around.

You may want to check at the Buck forum, under Makers/Mfgs. See if there are any marks on the blade, they could tell the year of manufacture (there are special markings since 1986), your knife could be 425M steel (used from 1981 to 1994) or maybe 440C (used before 1981).

Edited to correct: about the marks on the blade, I had written the tang, where it should have been the base of the blade or the ricasso.
