Well,
I just wanted to share the rest of the collection of knives that my son and his wife and I bought... Their are a few nice knives... These are the fixed blades from the collection we got a few week ends ago... Its Been a good October so far, for finding knives... My son and his wife got the 124, but we made a trade and I got it... It has a really, really thick Black plastic (?) handle... It was made for a big hand, I guess... I took the bad boy to Leroy for a tune up...

Clink on the pics... Clink Twice for a bigger pic...

Thanks for looking,
ITE

ITE,

That 124's handle looks like micarta to me. Nice pick up!

FL, thanks, I think it's micarta too... Leroy told me what is was but I for got what he said... He did say it was harder to find them with the really thick handles... I'll keep this one... :D

The Air Force knife is the 3rd from the left, bottom picture. The sheath has a pouch for a sharpening stone and a metal piece on the bottom. Stacked leather handle and there should be some numbers on the pommel. Should say either Camilius or Ontario and have some numbers such as 2-80.

Not like any I had ever seen, but then, could be, I suppose. Jack

I saw it in a book and I'm sure they said it was an Air Force knife... But what do I know... I'll look at it again when I get back to my sons in a few days... I'll try to take some pics tooo.... :D

Jack, it has Ontario 1-1973... Is that good???

Thanks,
ITE

Yeah, that's good. It is from 1973 and could have seen the end of the Vietnam conflict. Makes it worth having.
