Buck 124 light colored spots on blade after mineral oil application

Doesn’t sound like anything to worry about. Maybe drops of sweat or water on the blade left a residue.

The 124 is one of my favorite knives.

it's a 6.25" heavy use buck - ... use it - chop up some wood/branches/hiking duty and keep using some mineral oil, the patina will spread all over, and add depth all around & add to your enjoyment

if it was a pretty-wall hanger or safe queen I might see your concern
