Buck 124 question

Hi,
I recently picked up a buck 124 with wood handles at a, beleive it or not, computer show! I bought it for Twenty dollars. I know I got a heck of a deal. THe knife is in new condition and has a black leather sheath. One the blade is the upside down V(^) it is stamped
BUCK
124^
U.S.A.
Any help on a ballpark value and approximate year that the knife was made would be really appreciated.

Congrtaulations! Your knife was made in 1988. The value depends on the condition. New as you stated would mean Knife is unused, unsharpened, PERFECT with the sheath being in like condition and having the original box. These sell without the box in Mint (unsharpened, unused.. etc) for less than < $100 on Ebay. If you are not a collector let me know if you want a quick profit. I am in need of a 124. Thanks!
