I recieved a Buck 124 knife and sheath in as trade for something a few years ago. The knife and sheath are in mint condition, never used, and has redish wood grips. It's been in my drawer ever since, and I'm thinking about selling it, but have no idea about a value. I don't want to give it away. Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding knife values? How do I figure out how old it is? Is there a book, or website that I can get this info from?

Thanks,
Aaron

Aaron,
Blue sky's idea of checking Ebay is right on the money. To date the knife you need to take a look at the blade stamping. The knife should be stamped BUCK, 124, U.S.A. and after the 124 there is probably a symbol. That symbol is the date code and tells which year the blade was produced. You can check the Buck Knives website for a list of date codes or, if you send me your address, I will send you a free copy.

Aaron,
Your welcome, and the list will be in the mail to you today.
