I have a beautiful 124 with the wood stocks and I have never carried or used it. It has always been about my favorite knife because it is so pretty. I wonder if anyone actually carrys and uses this knife because it is very large. Larger than I would want to carry and I would think it is too large for a hunting knife. Do any folks actually use them or are they all stored away, as mine is, to take out now and then to look at?

i boughtn my first buck in 1967 a 110,
i bought a disc contuned late 60's buck 124 set up like a nemo to carry to nam at the navy bx in 1971... was about 20 something...
i have used it as a diveing knife, camp knife, to seperat and break pelvic bones on deer, chop copper-head's head off, on a bet shaved with it , and i carryed it on board ship, never took it to nam but every were else and done much with it... un used value now apx 175$ used as is about 90$
it is only lately that i collect for a buck for its looks,,,, tell 4 years they were a verry good tool i used at work and play on any day...

You know, I am sorry. I really never thought about that. I posted it from work and it never occurred to me that most working people don't have a computer to play with while they are working.:D

Thanks for the answer Dave. I am glad that the 124 was a user for some folks. Looks like you got a lot of use out of yours.

No, I would not part with mine. I have had it a long time. I was going to school in Chicago and ate McDonalds for two weeks saving my expense account money to buy that knife. :D

Nolan, ya gotta come out here one of these days and let me show you all the fun things you can look for on ebay:rolleyes:

The 124 shows up every now and again. I just haven't gotten around to aggressively looking for one.
I know they sell very well.
