Buck 124

Can anyone tell me about the Buck 124 Frontiersman. Dates of maufacture, different models, etc.
I noticed that some of the 124's have a hole drilled in the cap for a lanyard.
I have a micarta 124 which I would like to have drilled for a lanyard. Is this something Buck could do for me?

69 marked Buck USA on tang, black micarta handle ( pommel hole )440c
1971 marked Buck 122 or124 USA " no pommel hole 440c
4/81 marked BUCK 124 USA 425m Birch handles (could be a little later)
1986 marked BUCK 124 USA <
