Hello , new to the forum, I have a few Buck 184's, but just picked up a Buck 184 stainless satin variant, inverted stamp. I know these were very rare ten years ago, with only a few reported or owned. Does anyone have a current number for how many currently have been accounted for ? I do not follow all the threads so I apologize if it has been discussed lately? I try to keep my ear to the wind wind on sought after items, I'm more of a accumulator then a collector, but I have many Buck items, or had.... 184's, 185lt, intrepids, chipflint 119, 110 stags? Would appreciated any documented numbers, as this one was found on a locally, and got it very reasonable .. Trying to figure out how to load images on this forum...

If you're not a paying member, you have to use a hosting site.

Imgur or flickr are probably two most used here.

Have you tried survivalknife184.com?

Richard Neyman

Buckmaster Knives: The Authorized History of Models 184 & 185

its out of print so not sure how easy it is to find a copy of it anymore. I don't own this book so can't help you there....but someone on the Buck forum might and might be able to thumb through it for you?

Richard Neyman is actually a member here, or at least he was (last login Dec. 2023).

In this thread he says the same as what it says on the Buckmaster collector site that Mk-211 mentioned- (last post) https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/buckmaster-with-upside-down-stamp.1128695/

In short, in regads to how many there are with the inverted stamp, he said that there may be 3, or there may be 50.

As a registered user, you can post pictures using a picture hosting site. There are several free ones.
If you use imgur,
create a free account
Click <NEW POST>
Follow the directions to upload.
Once a picture has been uploated, go to the top right and mouse over the bubble with the first letter of your user name. That gives you a drop down.
Select "Posts"
That will show all your images. Click the image you want to post, then to the right at the top, copy "GRAB A LINK" address.
Then go to your post and click the "insert Image" tool on the tool bar. (It is located between the LINK tool and the SMILEY tool.)
Paste the picture address into the resulting popup, then click "Insert".

If you use another hosting site:
Once you have uploaded a picture to the hosting site, copy the web address of the picture. Note: picture web addresses must end in .jpg or .gif

Then go to your post and click the image tool on the toolbar next to the smiley tool. Click the link icon in the popup. (Looks like a chain.) Paste the picture address into the window. Then click the INSERT button.
