I used to go to the local disposal store to look at the Buck 184 every week. It was love at first sight. They had one in stock and the promo poster that I just drooled over. I was always too scared to ask to look at it. Its the first knife I truly fell in love with..
I was about 30 when I got my hands on my first one. Then a fellow collector was parting with something very special...
This is apparently one of 2600 ever made. Before they realized a patent was a good idea.
Here is the dynamic duo
The second is a pre-patent but it like its brother have seen better days...
The knives have been used before I got them and I am still considering sending them for the $25 refurb at buck. Not a bad deal huh, go buck
I just don't know what I'd do if they went AWOL..
Hope you like em..
P.S. While I love these knives, they taught me a valuable lessons about knives "what looks cool and sexy may be far from practical in use..." Doesn't matter as this knife was my dream knife at 16 and will always remind me of my younger days when all I could do is look at knives and admire them...Oh and the times I used to rewatch First Blood over and over again
